About Us
"The way to avoid housework is to live outside." Sandra Blacksmith 1900
We, Carol Lamb and Robin Williams are the ones that have our hearts hanging out for the horses! Between the two of us we have over 150 years experience with horses. (Oh my, that makes us sound VERY old)
For those of you that don't already know us, we are mother and daughter. Carol, my mom, has had all kinds of horses since she was a small girl growing up in California. She has had everything from pleasure horses to competition horses. Her barrel horse is a 2003 AQHA buckskin mare, O My Shes Buck Naked barn name Bubbles, that she currently is running barrels on!
Mom bought my sisters and me our first pony when I was four years old, and there has been no stopping me! I started out in Gymkhanas, then High School Rodeo, dabbled in the WPRA with my permit in the early 80's and now jackpot barrel races. I do go on trail rides with mom when she drags me. I own two horses: a 1996 AQHA bay gelding, Strikin Docs Viper barn name Viper that is enjoying retirement, and a 2014 AQHA mare, Stylish Patina Green barn name Hooptie that I run barrels on!
The Hanging Heart is the brand that is on our horses. People that ask what the meaning of it, honestly I played a lot of hangman when I was a kid and we wanted a unique brand so that's it, no hidden meaning!!!
On some of the pages you will see family and friends also on our horses! The older pictures show my sisters Brenda and Randi, and my son Jerimiah (JC). My sister Randi has two grown sons, Casey and Cody, in some of the newer pictures you will see Cody's daughters Carlee and Rylee and Casey's sons Darin and Jax and daughter Morgan riding the horses.
It's not a hobby, it's a way of life!!!
